The long narrow room makes large furniture placement awkward, creating a difficult conversation area which ignores the gorgeous view. Room lacks a focal point; art and accessories from clients travels are underused.
The view is now the focal point of the room and the conversation area is grouped closer. The piano was moved to other end of the long room and formed a performing music room space with the families' other instruments. Art and accessories from around the world provide interest. Design plan includes the purchase of an area rug to anchor furniture in center of room; three large animal photos (taken by the client mounted with black frames) to be hung above sofa; floor to ceiling oatmeal colored linen panels to hang on wall at either side of window alcove.
